the tragic adventures of Dora Cousland

So, let me tell you about Adora Cousland (shut up, I know it's a stupid name WHY DO YOU THINK I USE THE DEFAULT NOW?)

Adora began as a spoiled noblebrat who loved swords and being a rogue, because rogue nobles totally make sense and are awesome to play as. She enjoyed talking to her family and picking locks, and even promised her adorable nephew that she would teach him how to use a sword. UNFORTUNATELY, she was never able to fulfill that promise because tragedy befell Castle Cousland that very night and killed everything she ever knew and loved. So sad. ;_;

Dora went on to become a bitchin' Grey Warden, and while she had initially planned to romance the elf, a certain blonde, snarky gentleman stole her heart mere hours into the game. So she decided to romance him instead, after, of course, losing her king and everything she had ever known and loved for a second time that very week. Luckily, she still had Alistair.

And Morrigan, of course, but Dora was too genre-savy for that shit and completely ignored the swamp witch as much as possible. (remember this as it becomes important later)

So Dora went to Lothering and recruited a giant ass Quanari and a creepy redhead stalker who would totally later become her BFF sort of. After Lothering destroyed itself (are you sensing a pattern yet?) Dora and her team went to Redcliffe, because Alistair said we should and she really didn't know what she was doing, really. They saved Redcliffe, but then Dora sacrificed Lady Isolde because she just didn't know there was a third option there, okay? Alistair got pissed at her, and it was at that point that Dora discovered the power of gifts and began throwing everything in her inventory at him to make it up to him. >.<

After the victory at Redcliffe, Team Awesome then proceeded to head to the Circle of Magi, where, conflicted with indecision, Dora decided to ask the Knight-Commander what he thought they should do, and his answer surprised her, so he will forever remain a cool dude in Dora's opinion. They also recruited Wynne, which was awesome because at that point Morrigan and Dora were about ready to kill one another and Dora really needed another mage.

They then decided to seek out the Urn of Sacred Ashes, which remains Jak's favorite part of the game. Dora cried because she saw the ghost of her daddy. It was sad. :C

After healing Arl Eamon and agreeing with his decision to make Alistair king, the group headed to Orzammar to support Lord Harrowmont. ...Which wasn't a good idea, btw, because Harrowmont turned out to be a morally righteous but terrible king. Also, she went against Caridin and then convinced Branka to kill herself to make up for it.

After that, they went to see the Dalish and made peace there.

Then came the landsmeet, where Dora got her wish to SLAY ARL HOWE when the Queen asked her to rescue her. After Arl Howe was dead, Dora rescued Queen Anora (shut up I know). Dora told her that she looked rather short for a guard and Anora basically told her to stfu and lets get out of here. Once they met with Cathreine (sp?), Dora remembered the noble and honorable woman from the cutscenes, so she was all, "Lol, hey Cathreine! You seem like the honorable sort who might could help us! We have the Queen here--"

And then Anora betrayed her ass. Woe.

After the fiasco at Fort Drakon, Anora wished to speak to Dora and ask for her support. Dora, who thought quite frankly that Anora was a bitch and could have totally persuaded Cathreine to let them go, was disinclined to support her. "Sorry Anora, but I'm supporting Alistair for the throne." And Anora was like, "Well, I think I'm the better ruler but whatevers, man, it's cool."

THEN GUESS WHO BETRAYED THEM AT THE LANDMSEET?

...Yeah, they should have totally seen that coming.

So Dora duels Loghain for the thrown and almost spares him when her boyfriend Alistair is all, "What are you doing?"

"Being the kind and merciful person that I am, why?"

"If you spare him, I will leave."

":o No don't do that! Here, I'll kill him!"

And she did and Alistair was appeased. Dora declared him King, and all was happy in the world for about 10 seconds.
