How was the end of the conference? What did you take away most from it/anything you're going to try to write a paper on? :-b
ooooooooooo, LASEK! WP had that done, and he loves it. (Apparently the safety glasses the Army makes you wear fog up too easily to make them a viable option in the field.) My eyes aren't bad enough for me to want it--also, I don't know how my mental picture of myself would cope with not having glasses. :-b
That makes sense--FB is becoming more censored for me, not because I'm friends with my mom, but because I'm friends with my mother-in-law and several of my former students. (Profanity use has gone down exponentially.) I have a whole LJ post in my head of rejected Facebook statuses--things I'd like to ask the internet/people I'm friends with on Facebook, but would have to spend way to much time setting up filters to make it worthwhile. Now it's all about being nice while still trying to sound like myself.
ALSO I had a question for you--well, more like a "can I put you in touch with someone"--a friend of mine studied abroad at UCDublin during undergrad and is looking at applying there for her Master's--I know you did a similar thing with Trinity, and so I/she was wondering if you'd have any advice or guidance on being an international application...ee. If you're okay with that, I'll pass you her email address.
KEE you're such an awesome Wilde geek and even when I don't fully know what you're talking about I love reading the way you talk about it. You're so smart and you know SO MUCH and I'm kind of jealous of your cultural education in your youth (you know so much about ballet and opera and theatre and it's SO COOL also this post made me think of you (http://truepenny.livejournal.com/858888.html)), and I hope the job front looks better for you and that you and Beloved are otherwise well. :-)
