yay random fandom icon time!

snagged from [livejournal.com profile] redbrunja

List 10 of your favorite characters from different fandoms, and ask people to spot patterns in your choices, and if they're so inclined, to draw conclusions about you based on the patterns they've spotted.

1. Star Wars: OT Han Solo, Prequels Obi-Wan

2. Avatar: Sokka

3. MWT books: Attolia Irene

4. Harry Potter: Ron and Hermione (Ron and/or Hermione?)

5. Firefly: ...oh jeeze. Jayne or Simon. Or Zoe/Wash. I do love Zoe. And I love Jayne except for a few things, and I just love the way Simon develops. ...Simon?

6. LOTR: Eowyn

7. POTC: Norrington except not really because I love him but I hate how they screwed his character uh uh Norrington or Jack or Elizabeth.

8. Ouran: Kyouya and Kaoru. Pick one, 'cause I can't.

9. Artemis Fowl: Holly Short (or Artemis IT DEPENDS ON THE DAY OKAY)

10. Buffy: Spike

the hardest part of this is not picking up patterns as I go. Rather like taking a Myers-Briggs test with paper and pencil. I know I semi-consciously picked characters in order to break up trends on some of the ones where I can't really pick...but you can see that, so.

You big cheater! :P

I can't even do this meme, it would be such a joke. I definitely have a stereotype I fall for.

I'm seeing a lot of snarky characters (Han (and sorta Obi-wan), Sokka, Spike, Kyouya and Kaoru...)

Also, just that you don't pick the main characters but the strong characters beside them--not sidekicks, but characters with their own story.
Even with Artemis, I think Holly counts as a main character right with him. He's not a hero in the first books, really, which is *awesome* and makes a difference, too.

I think the obvious conclusion from this is that you read with attention to character, not just story, and find the friends in the story that you love best for who they are. You like depth?
Plus, senses of humor are irreplaceable.

There are probably more conclusions to be made, but I like to look at patterns and let the conclusions stew. ^_^

Raging badasses. 'nuff said.

(Well except for Norrington. And Kaoru.)

My first thoughts were "Yeah, me too!" (except the two fandoms I'm not as familiar with.)

My non-deep or analytical conclusion is: you like awesomeness.

This is a good thing.

Simon. Clearly Simon is the most awesome.
