1. part of her frustration with the gods stems from what happened to Gen, and the fact that she secretly admired Hephestia before that happened--she thought that in imitating her, she had achieved a kind of kinship with her, one that didn't require worship, and so it cut her deeply to not only be betrayed (or at least to have Gen be betrayed), but also to have to give in and acknowledge her own mortality.

1. his brothers think he's sexing up the wives of their potential business partners, but really he just reads poetry to them while they soak in their bath.
