I am in serious need of like, Zuko-joined-the-Gaang oneshots. With angry or happy Katara. Please save me from writing them.

You used a translator because there's still some French in there.

Or you don't know what those words mean.

Thief with a towel injured by a dog

ANGERS, 14 December 2008 - The soldier Aristogiton has [thought of a joke for his friend?].

"It is too stressful working as a soldier," he told firefighters, who had been using a towel to fight against dogs. He stole the towel of his friend "Costis", who was taking a shower. But when he fled the building, he discovered the building the dogs were in retained soldiers. A witness called firefighters at the same time that other soldiers arrived, thanks to noise. They returned the dog to their [kennel?]. Firefighters arrived and Aristogiton discovered he had been injured by a dog. The [wounds?] have healed, but unfortunately the towel was eaten by the dog.

"It's really stupid," said Teleus, the regiment captain. "But funny as well."

"Costis", who has refused to [answer his door?], had nothing to say. Aristogiton promised to [find a towel that would do more harm?].

How close did I get?

[identity profile] jstorer2.livejournal.com 2008-12-15 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
BTW, I took Spanish for three years, not french, so I could be completely wrong.

[identity profile] jade-sabre-301.livejournal.com 2008-12-16 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
You got really, really close!

closer than anything involving "apple trees."

*claps and hands an internet*

1) ne...que means "only"
2) kennel, yes, according to my Art History teacher
3) It's supposed to say that the pompiers healed his wounds...assuming pompiers is ambulance people. We never really defined that word.
4) yep
5) find a new towel, once he is no longer hurt.
