Madame Pickwells and [name, head of admissions] greet POTENTIAL STUDENT and ask POTENTIAL STUDENT various questions about them and their background (omg my friend's spacebar sucks) and why they want to go to school here, etc. etc. etc.
except it would be a fanfic because it wouldn't fit within the parameters of the novel.
