ARGH ARGH ARGH okay LOOK Lin is not a deceptive kind of person, okay, and it doesn't make SENSE that she wanted to hide her identity so bad, since his commander-chick whose name I can't remember is the ONLY thing standing in her way to freedom--she's no longer in any ACTUAL DANGER since I as the player have wiped out all the guards keeping her in the room--and the fact that the commander chick was all WHO ANORA THE QUEEN? WHOM I RECOGNIZE AS QUEEN? WHOM I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WAS HERE AND AM CONCERNED ABOUT WHEN YOU TELL ME SHE MIGHT BE IN DANGER? is just--I mean, she obviously has a strong sense of loyalty to Loghain/Ferelden, and she's not stupid, so she'd recognize that having Anora alive is better for the country than having Anora dead. PLUS, she was there for the Wardens, not Anora--she didn't even have a clue that Anora was there or in any kind of danger at all, so she obviously wasn't even a threat to Anora's life at the moment! The thing that really GRATED on me was that Lin actually had no qualms about fighting the commander at ALL except for the fact that Anora was with her; the only thing she was concerned about was getting Anora out alive because that is what she said she would do, and so when she read the commander as someone also concerned with Anora being alive since she never threatened her life (although for, you know, ruling-the-country reasons and not I-said-I'd-do-this reasons) and Lin tried to get Anora out of there AS PER HER WORD only to have her BETRAY her in the process just--infuriated me. Lin wouldn't surrender, and she didn't want to attack outright since that would have endangered Anora's life, so when she took the only option she could and still got screwed for it just AUGH.
