I was reading an AWESOME fanfic along the lines of "Norrington watches over Elizabeth," but sadly it only has like two chapters. So I guess you could say I "saw" it rather than "read" it, but still.

I didn't like the "set-up" for the 4th Pirate Movie at the end - the whole Captain Jack Black Sparrow in a small boat sailing to find the Fountain of Youth thing. I thought that was really cheesy. But, yeah, Elizabeth being Pirate Queen was rockin' cool.

The music is pretty amazing!

There are these three brothers that go to my school sort of (one has graduated, the second is currently attending, the other is still in high school but is dual-enrolled) that all play the violin. Like, they're freaking geniuses! And they usually have a short program in chapel once a year. Last year, one of the songs they played us was THEIR OWN FREAKING ARRANGEMENT OF MUSIC FROM PIRATES!!! It was epic, to say the least!

And I agree, that theme that starts around 3:00 is lovely! But I just love the main pirate theme, too. ♥

Also, Jack Sparrow has the best three film entrances that I've ever seen in the Pirates movies. ^_^

no, although I agree--definitely one of THE best film openings ever, omg. ...I still get chills. (It probably doesn't help that I saw the movie twice in a twenty-four-hour period--midnight for the opening, and then eight o'clock that night with my other friends.)

the one I'm referring to is the violin theme--the angsty romantic one--that sneaks up in the background behind the brass doing the pirate theme around 3:02, and then like EATS THE SOUNDTRACK because it is so gorgeous.

oh yes. I write all of my academic papers to the LOTR soundtracks...and occasionally listen to them while writing other things, too. And Disney soundtracks are almost always on repeat when I'm writing.

except really all I want to do is write POTC fanfic to this one right now. Like, write the novelization of AWE, filling in previously mentioned plotholes.

...if I did so, do you think I could convince Disney to publish it?
