same here (though i'm more aware of who freddie mercury is). then i wiki'd adam lambert and apparently the remaining members of queen were considering asking him to be the frontman for queen, so he must be ok, at least.

Well, it started off with Quark explaining to me how American Idol evolved to the point where it could handle Adam AND have him win, and then she made me watch Ring of Fire, which was interesting. And then I said that while I admitted he had talented, I was introduced to him in the wrong way (i.e. lots and lots of internet people giggling about Glambert). So she started giving me quotes, and, well, it went downhill from there. In fact I think I will make a separate follow-up post so that people can understand my pain.

Every time I would watch American Idol this past season and see an Adam Lambert performance, I'd always come away feeling like I'd been violated somehow. O_o I mean, I get that he is a talented singer, but the way he made eyes at the camera and sort of ran his hands all over his body creeped me out.
