Poetry, April 4
Apr. 4th, 2010 07:20 pmHappy Birthday Ariel! And Happy Easter to everyone else!
I was going to post this poem, but oops, I posted it last year. Oops. So after lots and lots of looking for an appropriate poem, I thought long and hard about what today has been like, and what I want to do most of all, so I went old-school. From the psalmist:
Psalm 98
Sing a new song to the LORD,
who has done marvelous deeds,
Whose right hand and holy arm
have won the victory.
The LORD has made his victory known;
has revealed his triumph for the nations to see,
Has remembered faithful love
toward the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen
the victory of our God.
Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth;
break into song; sing praise.
Sing praise to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and melodious song.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
shout with joy to the King, the LORD.
Let the sea and what fills it resound,
the world and those who dwell there.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
the mountains shout with them for joy,
Before the LORD who comes,
who comes to govern the earth,
To govern the world with justice
and the peoples with fairness.

Date: 2010-04-05 01:46 am (UTC)the fact that my voice decided to return has probably been the best part of this Easter. that, and seeing the Basilica light up as everyone lit their candles. and the fact that it was Luke's gospel this year.
little things, I tell myself.
but thank you for the cheer. :-)
