My answer is...that's really strange, but IN AMERICA, it doesn't surprise me that much if someone thinks it is a good idea to bring an expensive piece of electrical equipment into a room full of hard surfaces, germs, and several sources of water because it would be terrible to just...put it down and pick up a book for a few minutes.
